Everest Base Camp Trek

Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu

• Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel.
• Spend the day resting and preparing for your trek.
• Explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, a popular tourist area.

Day 2 – Fly to Lukla(2840m), Trek to Phakding (2610m)

• Early morning flight to Lukla (about 30 minutes).
• Start trekking to Phakding, a relatively easy walk (3-4 hours).
• Enjoy the scenic views of the Dudh Koshi River and surrounding landscapes.

Day 3 – Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

• Trek to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region (5-6 hours).
• Cross several suspension bridges and ascend gradually through beautiful
forests.
• Namche Bazaar is a lively town with shops, cafes, and stunning mountain views.

Day 4 – Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

• Rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
• Optional hike to Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and
Ama Dablam.
• Explore Namche Bazaar and visit the Sherpa Museum.

Day 5 – Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m)

• Trek to Tengboche, famous for its monastery and breathtaking mountain views
(5-6 hours).
• Pass through rhododendron forests and enjoy views of Everest, Nuptse, and
other peaks.
• Visit Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important in the region.

Day 6 – Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4350m)

• Trek to Dingboche, a beautiful village nestled in a high valley (5-6 hours).
• Enjoy views of Ama Dablam and other Himalayan giants.
• The trail gradually ascends, and you may start feeling the effects of altitude.

Day 7 – Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

• Rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
• Optional hike to Nangkartshang Peak for stunning views of the surrounding
peaks.
• Explore Dingboche village and interact with locals.

Day 8 – Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4925m)

• Trek to Lobuche, where the landscape becomes more barren and rugged (5-6
hours).
• Pass through Dughla and witness memorials to climbers who lost their lives on
Everest.
• Enjoy views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding peaks.

Day 9 – Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5164m), Visit Everest Base Camp (5210m)

• Trek to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp (3-4 hours).
• Drop off your bags and continue to Everest Base Camp (5-6 hours round trip).
• Explore Everest Base Camp, take photos, and soak in the atmosphere.
• Return to Gorak Shep for overnight stay.

Day 10 – Hike to Kala Patthar (5644m), Trek to Pheriche (4371m)

• Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Everest and surrounding
peaks (2-3 hours).
• Descend to Gorak Shep for breakfast before trekking down to Pheriche (5-6
hours).
• Pheriche is at a lower altitude, providing relief from the thin air of Gorak Shep.

Day 11 – Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

• Trek back to Namche Bazaar, retracing your steps through Tengboche and
Phakding (6-7 hours).
• Enjoy the downhill trail and revisit familiar landmarks.
• Celebrate your successful trek with fellow trekkers in Namche Bazaar.

Day 12 – Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2860m)

• Trek back to Lukla, your final day on the trail (6-7 hours).
• Reflect on your journey as you descend through forests and villages.
• Enjoy a farewell dinner with your trekking team in Lukla.

Day 13 – Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

• Take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
• Transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu.
• Spend the rest of the day exploring Kathmandu or relaxing at your hotel.

Day 14 – Departure from Kathmandu

• Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for additional sightseeing
or shopping in Kathmandu.
• Transfer to the airport for your departure.
